This is a belt which I made for my girlfriend. It is made entirely out of knots by the process known as macrame.
First I bought the rope, then dyed half of it red, looked up on the internet to try find a pattern, however, after much searching, I couldn't find one which I liked, so I decided to study different knots and try create something of my own. The belt is made up of 4 different knots in total.
Instead of using a belt buckle, I decided to make it of a fixed length, so I created button knots on 1 side and loops on the other. The belt is made to fit 2 sizes (best I could do without a buckle ;)

It took about 5 hours to finish the actual knotting, I'd imagine. Not counting the time it took to dye the rope though.
